CHARITY NEWS UPDATE

FUND RAISING TARGETS MET FOR SCHOOL IN SIERRA LEONE I am delighted to report that thanks to all of your efforts, the school we have been raising money to build in Sierra Leone, is finally open for business and children are being taught – my dream has come true!! At this happy time of the year, I thought I would write to say a hearfelt thank you to everyone in Hungerford, Newbury and the surrounding villages, who have, on many occasions, donated to our small charity, to help build this school. The 1st phase is now complete with two classes of thirty children in each and we have two full time teachers. Now we must turn our attention to the running of the school, to provide additional finishes and furnishings and then once fully complete, we must start to think about the next Phase!! So, on behalf of our charity I thank you all and must also thank my colleagues who have guided us through this process and who have not only donated money but have donated their time to help bring this project to a reality. This poor small village of Tombo, now has 60 children who will receive an education thanks to you all I am truly humbled. Thank you, We hope you had a merry Christmas and that 2017 will be a happy healthy year for everyone.
